Description
These are Partridge Welsummers (the typical color) with the addition of the sexlinked barring gene to make them autosexing.
Breeding Goals
- Egg Color – Darker egg color, and/or good speckling, are always a primary goal with Welsummers. There is a fair amount of variation in egg color. Some are well speckled, some not at all.
- Appearance – Some pullets have larger than desired combs. Also, some crooked toes appear at times, though we are not certain of the genetic basis for the crooked toes.
